Description:

Do You Like Wasting Time and Money?

Don’t apply for SBIR/STTR unless, and until, you know what you are doing (just writing a pretty proposal is NOT GOOD ENOUGH):
* Do you know how to sell SBIR/SBIR projects?
* Do you know the culture of the agency/review group to which you are applying?
* Do you know your reviewer’s “hot buttons”?
* Do you know how to pick winnable topics from all the rest?
* Do you know how to win funding?
* Do you know where the SBIR/STTR program problems are (you reviewers do), so that you can deal with them in your application?
* Do you know how to develop and employ the Cost/Budget Proposal to you advantage? George Mason University, Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) will sponsor this special workshop on how to be successful in SBIR/STTR. The workshop is open to persons from all states.

This is the highly acclaimed SBIR "Business Development" workshop. The primary focus is on how to evoke the responses in your reviewers that you desire. In this very intense 9 hour workshop strategic planning, Phase I, Phase II, project planning, cost estimating and budget proposals (with development of indirect rates) are all covered. A 100 page workbook and a lite lunch will be provided.

Details and an on-line registration facility can be found at www.sbir.info/course.html.

Tuition: $325 (early bird price is $290 until Sept. 30). Master Card/VISA/corp checks accepted.

Who Should Attend:
Inventors, CEO/COOs, Directors and Managers who have a responsibility for developing and implementing their corporation’s vision, operating direction and business development. This workshop will impart wisdom on whether and how to successfully employ SBIR/STTR as a strategic tool in you business. This workshop is intended for mid to high level personnel and, although proposal development is included, this is a “business development” seminar, not a “proposal writing” course.
