The SBIR grant program can be an important source of early-stage technology company funding. Learn to prepare competitive Phase I proposals by attending our SBIR Phase I Proposal Preparation workshop August 19th at the JARI Center for Business Development in Johnstown. The cost is only $25 per person, including refreshment breaks and lunch.

This workshop will be taught by Gail and Jim Greenwood, who have been active with the SBIR program since SBIR's inception, making firms aware of SBIR and its opportunities, and teaching how to write competitive technical and cost proposals for SBIR funding. The Greenwoods have presented SBIR workshops in 41 States to thousands of persons. An evaluation of the effectiveness of their training showed that over 90% of the respondents indicated that the workshops had improved their ability to compete for SBIR.

You will also hear about a new program that may be able to help you pay for some costs related to preparing your SBIR Phase I proposal. This program is being offered through the Innovation Partnership, a collaboration of economic development agencies in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which has been developed to increase both the quantity and the quality of the statewide SBIR proposal through marketing, proposal preparation and proposal assistance.
