SBIR and STTR grants can be important sources of early stage technology company funding. Phase I awards are for periods of up to six months in amounts up to $100,000, and Phase II awards are for periods of up to two years in amounts up to $750,000.
This workshop will be taught by Greenwood Consulting Group, Inc. Greenwood Consulting has made firms aware of the SBIR/STTR and associated opportunities and have taught how to write competitive technical and cost proposals for SBIR/STTR funding. Greenwood Consulting has presented workshops in 41 States to thousands of persons. An evaluation of the effectiveness of their training showed that over 90% of the respondents indicated the workshops had improved their ability to compete for SBIR and STTR.
Information concerning a new program that may be able to help pay for some costs related to preparing the SBIR/STTR Phase I proposal will also be presented. This program is being offered through the Innovation Partnership, a collaboration of economic dvelopment to increase both the quantity and quality of the statewide SBIR/STTR proposals through marketing, proposal preparation, and proposal assistance.
This workshop is hosted by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Small Business Development Center at Lehigh University, and is sponsored by the Innovation Partnership.
