Description:

The Federal Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) programs stimulate technological innovation in the private sector by providing funds to small businesses to support research and development projects. The SBIR programs are extremely competitive and, typically, numerous proposals are submitted for each award.

This conference will:

  • Discuss the opportunities presented to small businesses by SBIR programs.
  • Explain various mechanisms for enhancing the probability of a proposal being funded.
  • Discuss various federal resources in the Tennessee Valley available for teaming and, thus, strengthening.
  • Present "how-to" information from representatives of companies that have used SBIR awards to build their company.
On Thursday October 16, individual breakout session meetings with Federal agency SBIR participants are available. You can schedule the time you would like to meet with them through an on-line breakout session scheduler at the conference website.
