Description:
This Limited Attendance Workshop (25 maximum) is open to persons from all states.
Sponsored by the George Mason University Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) for the third time in two years. Information on the PTAP can be found at: http://www.gmu.edu/gmu/ PTAP/
Workshop focus is on strategic planning and business development for SBIR/STTR applicants (a "how to win funding" seminar, NOT a "how to write proposals" class). NOTE: In the final analysis winning SBIR/STTR funding is not fundamentally in the proposal writing; rather, it is in the strategic planning, topic/agency selection and the diligent accomplishment of your pre-proposal homework. An ordered process of business development is presented that leads from the initial program investigation/planning all the way through cost estimating, indirect cost/budget development and final proposal creation is dealt with. Both Phase I and Phase II are considered.
The instructor, a CEO with 33 years experience as a researcher, program manger & profit-center manager and a 100 page workbook will be provided by the SBIR Resource Center(TM). The Center has been the nation's leading provider of commercial business development resources to the SBIR Community since 1994. The qualifications of the instructor to provide this training can be found on the Website at: http://www.sbir.biz
NOTE: Although material is updated each time, this workshop has been presented to more than 35 appreciative audiences in 12 states/territories since 1997. Comments from past attendees can be reviewed at: http://www.win- sbir.com/course/workquot.html
