Description:

The 2002 Naval-Industry R&D Partnership Conference continues the Discovery to Deployment Process with a goal of leveraging government/industry/academia partnerships to expand the pool of technologies available to naval systems and to reduce the time to technology insertion.

Plenary Sessions:
Speakers from government, industry, and academia will address results of existing initiatives, defense transformation, technology needs of naval systems, naval transformational technologies, and the fleet perspective. Luncheon keynotes will address the radical change in the Discovery to Deployment Process brought about by the events of 9/11.

Breakout Sessions:
The eighteen workshops will allow participants to examine topics relevant to developing and sustaining beneficial partnerships. Topics include the naval transformational technologies, Team Tango (the U.S. Science and Technology response to 9/11), and the national nano-technology initiative.

Technology Marketplace:
Opportunities for conference participants to meet one-on-one with representatives of government, industry, and the venture capital community.

Features 100 of the Navy’s best technologies
