Conference Hotel: Hyatt Regency Albuquerque

The entire conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, NM. The hotel is located at 330 Tijeras N.W. in downtown, adjacent to the Convention Center. Travel time to the Albuquerque International Airport is approximately 10 minutes (see driving directions below).

On site services and facilities include: Newstand and gift shops; lobby coffee shop and McGrath's full-service restaurant and the Bolo Saloon. Located downtown, it is within easy walking distance to many restaurants and near the Civic Plaza and 25,000 square foot retail arcade. Only minutes away from Old Town Plaza, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, the Albuquerque Museum, the Rio Grande Zoo and the University of New Mexico.

The hotel features a fully equipped health club, outdoor pool and sauna. Golf, tennis, hiking, rock climbing and skiing are nearby.

All sleeping rooms are sound proof with voicemail, dataports, color statellite TV and radio, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers and basic amenities.

A block of rooms has been arranged for our attendees at a special conference rate of $128 Single or Double plus tax, currently 10.8125%. Reservations may be made by contacting the hotel through Hyatt Reservations Hotline at 1-. When making your reservation over the phone, be sure and Identify yourself as attending the SBIR Conference. Cut off date for Hotel Reservations is Monday, February 24th or when the block fills. Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.

Check in time is 3pm; check out is 12Noon. Reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card. Cards accepted are: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diner's Club, Carte Blanche, Discover.

The hotel offers self and valet parking for hotel guests and those attending the conference. Current daily parking fees are: $11.00 for Self Park; $15.00 for Valet Parking

The Sun Trolley services this hotel and provides transportation to most major venus at little or no fee.

IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW&..Our goal is to keep the cost of the Conference Registration Fee as low as possible! The costs of all hotel services (meeting space, food, etc.) is tied to our sleeping room block pick up. Therefore, in order to keep these costs, and the Registration Fee, as low as possible, we encourage you to stay at the conference hotel! This allows us to maintain the lowest possible conference Registration Fees.

TRANSPORTATION:

Shuttles: No complimentary Hotel Shuttle currently available. Various shuttle and taxi service available at the Airport.

Taxis: Taxi fares to/from the Albuquerque International Airport is approximately $12 via Yellow Cab Service (1-).

Airports, Airlines & Rental Cars: The Albuquerque International Airport is serviced by several major carriers including America West, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Southwest and United Air Lines. All major rental car companies are represented: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Citywide, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.

Driving in from Albuquerque International Airport:
Take Sunport Blvd. (West) to I-25 (North). Travel to Dr. Martin Luther King Ave. exit. Proceed west on King to 6th St, Turn Left. Follow 6th St. To Tijeras. Turn left. Hotel is on Tijeras on right.

The average temperature for March is 61 high/33 low; average rainfall is .5 inch.

CONFERENCE DRESS CODE:

Business casual. Men - slacks, polo shirts, sweaters, jackets. Women - slacks, skirts, sweaters, jackets. We suggest comfortable shoes. Meeting room temperatures may vary, we suggest bringing a sweater or jacket.
