The entire SBIR/STTR conference and the Small Business Tech Expo will take place at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in downtown Cleveland, OH. The hotel is located at 24 Public Square, adjacent to the Tower City Center and a stop on the Rapid Transit System. Travel time to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is approximately 25 minutes via car/taxi (see driving directions below).
We have negotiated special conference rates for attendees at this National Conference. The Single or Double rate is $129 plus tax (currently 15.5%). For triple or quad occupancy, an additional $20.00 per person/per night will apply. Hotel reservations can be made by calling Renaissance reservations at 1-800-Hotels – (1-). Reference the SBIR Conference and dates. Cut-off date for hotel reservations at the conference rate is Monday, October 6th, 2003. Reservations made after this date, or when the block fills, will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.
On site services and facilities include: Newstand and gift shops; Brasserie Restaurant (breakfast & lunch), San Souci fine dining restaurant, and the Lobby Court Bar. Located downtown, it is within easy walking distance of many restaurants and attached to the Tower City Center, an upscale shopping complex which offers over 100 retail shops, an 11 screen movie theater and a unique food court. Connected by an indoor walkway is the Gateway Sports Complex, including Jacobs Field and Gund Arena. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is located within walking distance. The Rapid Transit “Waterfront Line” provides easy and inexpensive access ($1.50) from the Tower City Center station to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Great Lakes Science Center, Jacobs Field, Gund Arena and the Flats. The “Flats” are the revitalized riverfront area, home to many restaurants, dance clubs, and other entertainment venues.
A business center on site is available to assist with copies, facsimiles, shipping, computer workstations, internet connections and supplies. Other services are available on request.
The hotel provides no access charge for credit card, collect or 1-800 telephone calls; Complimentary in-house fitness center, sauna and indoor heated pool; and Complimentary shoe shine service.
All sleeping rooms offer phones with speaker capability and voice mail; in-room refreshment centers; in-room coffee makers and safes; irons, ironing boards, hair dryers and basic amenities.
Check in time is 3pm; check out is 12Noon. Reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card. Cards accepted are: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diner's Club, Carte Blanche, Discover.
The hotel offers valet parking for hotel guests and those attending the conference. Current daily parking fees are $16.00.
IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW…..Our goal is to keep the cost of the Conference Registration Fee as low as possible! The costs of all hotel services (meeting space, food, etc.) is tied to our sleeping room block pick up. Therefore, in order to keep these costs, and the Registration Fee, as low as possible, we encourage you to stay at the conference hotel! This will allow us to maintain the lowest possible conference Registration Fees for this conference and in the future. |
